With Apple coming to the last day of the WWDC 2020 event, there have been some exciting updates and announcements. The Californian tech giant unveiled a series of updates regarding iOS software during this week’s WWDC 2020 event for developers. All these tech updates are merged with AI and machine learning development features, especially WatchOS 7 and macOS Big Sur.
As the company looking forward to integrating automation in its devices, these features will be enhancing device security, ease-of-use, and accessibility. From health tracking to home safety, AI-based recognition features will help users to keep track of everything.
One of the major highlights of WWDC 2020 was the announcement of MacOS Big Sur. However, it was further unveiled that apps like iMessage, Safari, and Mail are built using Google’s UI toolkit for macOS.
iOS developers used the Flutter app development framework (Google product) to integrate better functionalities in the macOS updated apps. Since the framework is well-known to build beautiful native apps, Apple has utilized its capabilities to improvise their own applications.
Along with the announcement of WatchOS 7 and Air Pods Pro features, Apple also surprises game developers and players with some exciting editions. They include rumble, haptics, and motion that allow users to utilize gaming consoles with iPads more effectively.
Players will experience explosive and gunning sounds clearly during the gameplay. Moreover, developers can also integrate this feature while developing games with Unity for iOS devices and Xbox.
A major announcement for Xbox and gaming users came on stage as Apple confirmed that Wireless Controller Series 2 support extends for iOS 14 and iPad OS 14. Moreover, the Adaptive Controller will also remain compatible with these updates and gamers don’t need to worry about new gaming consoles.
With integrated security offered by Apple in their iPhones and iPads, users are using ID Touch buttons till now. This feature will now be available in Safari 14! Apple conveyed during the event that it started training the iOS app development department for adding this feature for web access.
The feature includes Face and Touch recognition of the users who are accessing their websites. Henceforth, they will be able to log in without any manual input of username and password.
Another big announcement from the Cupertino major is the introduction of the ‘Hey’ email app. The application is based on Basecamp’s platform, which requires no invite code for users to join. Following the announcement, the company also conveyed that its launch will also overcome the issues raised with App Store optimization policies before WWDC 2020.
‘Hey’ email version 1.0.3 update is available with a 14-day free trial for iOS users. The implementation is under progress and soon the users will be able to utilize it without spending a penny for two weeks.
The biggest tech event WWDC 2020 started off with the biggest announcement of iOS 14 software. Along with it, the tech giant unveils macOS Big Sur and Air Pods Pro smart features. However, there were some more updates and announcements that tech lovers were expecting, such as AirTags, iMac 2020, and new iPhone releases.
